Laura returned to Froggy's River Resort with others to ride Cole Creek Trail and invited BF member Robin to ride with them! Great time to be on the trails and visit/ride with Laura again and meet new riders. Hope to have them back riding at Cole Creek Trail!

Enjoy meeting and riding with the South Central Chapter members and others on 17 October at 1000. Eat a provided breakfast (RSVP to ensure there is enough food) then ride and work to keep the trails at Kaintuck Hollow open for all!

Lots of armadillos out there! Cut a couple trees off the trails on 2 October 2026, need to ensure safe traveling.

Drove from the Gasconade River to Hwy K on Village and Flagstone Road picking up trash…. 3 hours later there were two 50 lb bags and the back of the side by side filled! Been a while but some much needed work. Please ‘Pack It In, Pack It Out’!

Heads up when visiting Cole Creek Trail. A private landowner requested the Mark Twain National Forest for access on a forestry road which goes through a part of the Cole creek Trail system to their property to remove trees. The location is the purple arrow on the map (the 2nd driveway the Orange Trail crosses traveling from the Cole Creek Trail main trailhead/camping area, #8 on Village Drive). This process will be for the year then their operations will be completed. Appreciate the MTNF giving visitors a heads up!

Sunday it was time to pack up and head home! Thank you again to everyone that participated and to Froggy's River Resort for providing a wonderful place to camp and for grilling for the meals! Also kudos to the campers that cleaned up so well, pack it in pack it out no matter where you are! Happy Trails to all.

Heads up for those planning a trip to Paddy Creek In December 2026 (see link for the map)

Paddy Creek Recreation Area, National Forest System Road 211, Big Piney Trailhead Spur Trail (03-016-D), Paddy Creek Trail Loop (Trail 03-016-C), and a section of the Big Piney Trail (03-016-A) will be closed from December 1, 2026 until December 31, 2026 while a bank on the creek is restabilized and a bridge is installed over the low water crossing.

Thank you to everyone that came to Froggy's River Resort for the Brownfield/South Central joint National Public Lands Day ride/work event on 12 September 2026! What a great group of people. Several Brownfield Chapter members participated in the event along with five South Central Chapter members and a few that are not members! A lot of work was accomplished during the rides along with fun and visiting.
Froggy's River Resort & the Brownfield Chapter provided the items for the meals - totally appreciate Bill Ming for grilling lunch and dinner meats for the participants! More visitors joined the riders to enjoy the evening meal and visit. Wonderful weekend!
