y. After the floods of 2016, some of Acadiana's most skilled construction professionals networked together to confront the damage caused to local structures. The disaster found the top contractors and tradesmen overwhelmed with demand as they struggled to find qualified, trusted local workers. As a result, unqualified workers and shady businesses rushed in. Acadiana still suffers today from both the wake of a natural disaster and the unfinished and subpar construction work left behind by non-local and un-vetted contracting companies who posed as experts. As residential construction demand grows and the south continues to suffer extreme weather events skilled workers are more essential than ever.
