Over the past few years, the Oregon Legislature has made smart investments in climate solutions: like helping renters stay cool during deadly heat waves, supporting rural clean energy projects, and creating good-paying jobs in the clean energy economy. These programs are working — but they need continued funding to deliver results for Oregonians across the state.

Right now, Oregon lawmakers are making budget decisions that will shape the next two years. They need to hear from you.

A Heartfelt Thank You to the Max and Marie Anna Richter Family Fund

We are beyond grateful to the Max and Marie Anna Richter Family Fund at the Oregon Community Foundation for their generous $20,000 grant. This funding is a huge step forward in our mission at Oregon Climate Action Hub (ORCAH) to empower ALL Oregonians to take meaningful climate action.

With this support, we are excited to expand our website and grow our team, further enhancing our ability to engage and inspire more individuals, organizations, and communities across the state. Our goal is to make it easier for everyone to connect with climate-positive opportunities, build a more unified movement, and take collective action for a just and sustainable future.

A big thank you to Oregon Community Foundation for your continued belief in our work and for investing in the power of community-driven climate solutions. We couldn’t do it without you, and we’re eager to continue this journey together!
Here’s to growing the movement and creating lasting change!

He also brings experience and leadership, having served on the Board of Directors and as President of the AIGA Portland ().
Support our latest fundraising effort!
The Oregon Climate Action Hub (ORCAH) is a small but mighty player in the pursuit of a just transition: a site that connects people who are new to this space with opportunities to take climate action.
Our all-volunteer team has built what we have on a generously donated platform, and has learned a lot in the process. We have realized that we want to make this work open source so we can more easily implement changes when our users ask for them, and other communities who want to do something similar can build on what we’ve created. So, we are working to improve the platform’s accessibility and functionality by transferring the core structure over to WordPress, one of the most popular website builders out there and a thriving creative community.
This is the behind-the-scenes stuff that lets an effort like this learn, grow, and adapt to the needs of our community. Please join us in supporting the future of climate action in Oregon and beyond by beginning to invest in a platform that can be shared and maintained easily.

Third Act Oregon (TAO) presents a climate conversation with Third Act Founder, Bill McKibben. We hope you’ll join us for an intimate conversation with Bill about what we can do right now to save our planet and our democracy, what’s bringing him joy, what gives him hope, and why he believes that, working together, we can have a huge impact on making our world a better place for generations to come.

This is truly a rare opportunity to spend an evening — in person or via livestream — with one of the world’s most beloved and important environmentalists and global thinkers. After the main presentation, we’ll have youth from across Oregon join Bill in an intergenerational Q & A session. Following the program, mingle with Third Actors and climate activists from all over the state, while enjoying light refreshments.

There is no one way to be an activist. Just like a monoculture of corn makes for a poor ecosystem, a monoculture of activism makes for a poor movement. We need to tackle the climate crisis from so many different angles and no one organization can do it all.

My name is Chris Palmer, and I'm a volunteer organizer with 350PDX, a climate justice organization in Portland.

What I love about the Oregon Climate Action Hub is that there is a place for people to see the whole wide range of what action on the climate looks like. That lets folks choose something that works for them, and that's how you get folks committed to the movement for the long haul. I've sent many folks to the Hub who have found great volunteer opportunities they otherwise might not have found, and we've had new folks come to 350PDX after finding us on the Hub. It's great and important work that is bringing the movement together here in Oregon.

Thanks Chris, for using the Hub and supporting our continued growth, and for all you do in the climate movement. You can also give to Chris’ important work by making a donation to 350PDX.

We’re already halfway to reaching our goal, can you help us raise $12,500? Can you make an end-of-year donation today?

Can’t donate? Tell your friends about this fundraiser by forwarding this email, or sharing our social media fundraiser. Can’t fundraise? Volunteer! Check out what’s going on by visiting the hub.

In appreciation,
Simone

Want to join the climate movement but dont’t know how?

One way to support is to donate to a network of volunteers and climate justice organizations, the Oregon Climate Action Hub!

We know that Oregonians want to be part of the climate justice movement, but MOST say they don’t know how.
What if they did?

With access to the right information, everybody can take meaningful action. The tool Oregon Climate Action Hub provides is one piece of the puzzle. We share a broad cross-section of what is happening in this movement with people who are ready to engage.

Will you make a tax-deductible donation to help us reach our year-end fundraising goal to support the climate justice movement in Oregon?

The Owyhee Canyonlands took millions of years in the making, and they now face looming threats that could change them forever — unless we protect it. Share your story with about the Owyhee Canyonlands to help show Congress and others how deserving this region is of permanent protections.
