For Brooten city residents this week: Hydrant Flushing begins today (Monday, October 5) and continues the rest of the week. Boyce is working at the school side of town to get them up to speed before classes resume tomorrow. Please spread the word!

The Brooten Farmers Market is moved to the park shelter. Ample parking on the old tennis courts! You don't have to park in standing water!
4 to 7 p.m. today - LAST OF THE SEASON!

Due to the rainfall of Thursday, September 24, the Brooten Farmers Market will be held in the park shelter from 4 to 7 p.m. Please park on the southern end of the parking lot by the softball field, on what is the original tennis court pad. There's plenty of room in the shelter to keep everyone dry.....

Lucky Shots Bowling in Brooten continues a decades-long tradition (going back to approx. 1960) of Brooten having a small town bowling alley where kids and adults can gather and enjoy a lifelong activity! League nights have mostly gotten going, and tonight, Lucky Shots is on full display with over 30 high schoolers bowling and having free pizza and pop - sponsored by the Lutheran Free Spirits youth group.

It's a sight! Brooten should be very proud of this place.

Tonight, Thursday, September 17 and next Thursday, September 24 are the last 2 sessions of the Brooten Farmers Market. The vendors are grateful for all the support they've received this summer...please help out with a final push here in the latter part of September.

Some vendors may have product at the end of the month, in which case folks can privately connect regarding what's still available.

Time flies! The 7th installment of the Brooten Farmers Market is TODAY at its usual time. The drought has been tough on gardens all over the area, but fortunately, an assortment of vegetables will be in Brooten, including North Fork Township-based sweet corn!

Tomatoes, green peppers and acorn squash went quickly at today's Brooten Farmers Market, but sweet corn and cucumber supply is still strong! There's always plenty to see here, 4 to 7pm every Thursday in Brooten.
