On behalf of the monks, board, and congregation of Lao Buddhist Temple of Denver, we extend our deepest appreciation to the Asian Roundtable Of Colorado for awarding us a $1,000 grant Asian Roundtable of Colorado

These funds were dedicated specifically toward the construction of modern, accessible restroom facilities in our Sala. As our community grows, these updates are essential to providing a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment for all who visit.

We are truly honored by the Asian Roundtable of Colorado’s partnership and support of our cultural and religious community.

Khob Chai Lai Lai / Thank you for your support 🙏

Eight Buddhist monks were killed in a tragic accident earlier today, July 2, 2026, in northeastern Thailand. An 11-year-old boy crashed a pickup truck into a group of monks on a pilgrimage walk, killing eight and injuring 14 others, with four in critical condition. The monks, from Mukdahan province, were about 30 minutes into a 260-kilometer walk to Ubon Ratchathani province when the incident occurred. The boy is in custody and will be questioned when state child protection officers arrive. Security footage shows the vehicle swerving before crashing into the group.
