Animus is hitting the road! 🚐🏔️

This weekend we’re heading to the inaugural Steamboat Springs Dance Festival for an evening of incredible dance in the Rocky Mountains. We’re honored to share the stage with artists and companies from across the region as we perform excerpts from Colloquium one more time.

If you’re in Steamboat, come join us on June 13th at the Historic Depot Art Center and celebrate the beauty and community of dance with us.
🎭 Performance: Sat, June 13th at 7:30p. Doors open at 6:30p for a cash bar + silent auction

Third show of the year ✔️✨
Still riding the high from this past weekend at Tangled Paths - so grateful to share the stage (and laughs) with such talented, fun humans. This team is something special. 💛

Huge thank you to Stacey Temple for having us as a guest company - we loved dancing alongside you and .fish.dance!

✨ One last chance to catch Colloquium: June 13th at Steamboat Dance Festival. After that, we’ll be putting this work to rest and diving fully into our new full-length… 👀

And don’t forget - open company class every Friday 10:30–12p at CCD!

Spring has sprung and it’s time to DANCE! After two great winter shows and a short break, Animus Movement is back and has a full season ahead…

So beyond proud of our second company, Animus II, for lighting up the stage at Body Speak this past weekend ✨ They showed up, danced their hearts out, and represented us with so much passion, professionalism, and joy. Watching them grow and take on opportunities like this is what it’s all about.

Huge thank you to our assistant director, Larah, for taking them and leading with so much care and dedication - we’re so grateful for you 🤍

And a big thank you to Body Speak for having us - we’re always grateful for the opportunity to share the stage and be part of such a special show.

Way to go, team. This is just the beginning 💫

Celebrating 5 Years of Animus Movement!

Animus Movement was founded five years ago today in New York City. Since then, we have expanded to Colorado and launched a second company, marking an exciting new chapter in our growth.

We are incredibly grateful for the artists, dancers, collaborators, and experiences we’ve shared along the way. Every performance, partnership, and connection over the past five years has helped shape our journey.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and believed in us. We’re excited to continue growing, creating, and sharing great dance and good vibes.
Here’s to many more years ahead 🥂

And just like that, our first show of 2026 is in the books! ✨

Huge thanks to our incredible company and second company members - truly always a party.

Grateful to for hosting and for bringing together such inspiring companies and artists from around the country.

Up next: our second company performs “Maybe We’ll See” at Body Speak in February, and the company will share another snippet of “Colloquium” in April.
