What a great day for Broomfield Sister Cities at Broomfield Days! 📸 The pictures tell it all! ❤️🌎

Fred and Mary came all the way from Oklahoma with their children and grandchildren to join us. Despite the recent devastating events in Nepal, our Nepalese community came together to celebrate friendship and community. And the Ueda Committee, along with their families, showed once again that we are stronger than ever in supporting our all-day activities.

This is exactly how I imagined Broomfield Sister Cities to be—a place where all sister cities come together to bridge cultures and build community. 🤝

A very special thank-you to all of our board members, committee members, families, and volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make this such a warm, meaningful, and inspiring day. ❤️

Together, we are building friendships that cross borders and generations. 🌎✨

🇳🇵 Our Hearts Are With Nepal

As a Sister City organization with a deep connection to Nepal, our hearts are heavy with the devastating loss of life and destruction caused by the recent floods.

We extend our deepest condolences to all those who have lost loved ones and stand in solidarity with the people and communities affected. May those impacted find strength, support, and hope as they begin to recover.

Nepal, you are in our thoughts and hearts. 🙏🇳🇵

🌏We recently wrapped up Phase 1 of a landmark exchange with our sister city (Ueda, Japan), bringing experts together to tackle global waste management.🌐

Inspired by Ueda's comprehensive sorting methods, we introduced a brand-new recycling guide to help local Broomfield residents build eco-friendly habits at home.

✨Supported by a prestigious Global Impact Grant from Sister Cities International and the United States-Japan Foundation, this initiative showcases the immense power of grassroots citizen diplomacy.✨

We are so inspired by this partnership and can't wait to see how these shared ideas continue to create a cleaner, greener future for both our communities! 💚
