(1)

is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) hobby gaming foundation, supporting gamers facing catastrophic events and bringing games and joy to communities across Colorado. Located in Denver, we are a hobby gaming charity serving gamers in our beautiful and colorful state of Colorado.

Focusing on individuals who are experiencing catastrophic events, we also support our local communities in bringing game

s and friendly faces to the lives of everyone we encounter.

Who We Support

1. Colorado-Based Gamers

The people we support must live in Colorado. In some cases, we may consider nearby areas like parts of Wyoming if they fall within the broader Denver Metro region, but our focus remains on Colorado.

2. Catastrophic Life Events

We focus on supporting those who have/are experiencing major, life-altering events—such as cancer, house fires, severe illness, or major surgery. While many face difficult times, our fundraising is reserved for the most critical, transformative needs.

3. Board Review & Approval

Every potential cause is reviewed and voted on by our board of directors. Our decisions are based on the nature of the need and whether it aligns with our mission—not on popularity or personal connections within the community.

4. Members of the Gaming Community

The people we support must be gamers—whether they enjoy RPGs, board games, card games, or part of the broader gaming world we serve (casino/gambling excluded).

---

How We Hear About Those in Need

We learn about people in need through a variety of ways: they may reach out directly, be referred by local game store owners, or be brought to our attention by others in the community. In the past, organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation have referred someone to us. There’s no single path—just let us know if someone needs help.

---

Other Ways We Give Back

Beyond our fundraising efforts, we also support our community through donations of games and gaming resources. We’ve partnered with schools, community centers, and libraries to bring joy, connection, and learning to people across Colorado. We also use our general fund to help in smaller—but still meaningful—ways. This includes purchasing items like walkers, wheelchairs, iPad stands for those who are bedbound, etc. (We even bought a refrigerator for an immunocompromised family during the pandemic.) These aren’t full campaigns, but they’re just as central to our mission.

---

Transparency Is Key

We believe in full transparency. If you ever want to know where your donation is going or why—we’ll always give you a clear and honest answer. If you have questions or want to learn more, feel free to reach out to any of our board members.

---

This process may evolve in the future. Thank you for helping us support our gaming community through hardship, recovery, and joy.

Giving 4th is a movement to establish July 4 as a new national day of charitable giving.

Giving back to our neighbors and communities has been part of America since its founding. But charitable giving has long been concentrated in the last weeks of December, leaving nonprofits under-resourced for most of the year. This July 4th, we’re changing that.

America’s 250th anniversary gives us a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build something lasting. Our goal: make July 4th a permanent fixture on the American giving calendar — a tradition that starts this milestone year, and grows stronger every July 4th that follows.

SpringGiving 2026 has been fantastic, thank you all for attending! Please be on the lookout for an after event survey.
Your feedback is invaluable.
We are looking forward to ThanksGaming.GamersGiving.org (tickets will go live in August) with many more food vendors making fresh food out of the kitchen and even more of the event center used, for more games!
Please add your pictures in the comments!

Hey all SpringGiving attendees, unfortunately; Gant's BBQ will not be able to attend Spring Giving due to unforeseen circumstances.
Gant's is looking forward to ThanksGaming in November.

With this change we will be refunding all food tickets and folks at the $52.80 level; and converting you all to the $25.25 level. This may take some time to clear; however it is our hope it will all be settled by Saturday.

We still will have pastries, baked goods and drinks available for use with your activity tickets or directly with the vendors.

*Please note: The Broomfield Community Center allows for outside food and beverages and we encourage you to bring a cooler for the day.*

Please DM us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Dustin Hatchett
