Rise Family

Rise Family We exist to support foster & adoptive families so that every child can RISE to their full potential.

Rise supports families who have said yes to kids through foster care and adoption. We provide practical and relational support through things like meals, laundry, and encouragement, with the goal of keeping foster parents in the game longer.

We have talked about statistics and recommendations to learn more and resources to look into all month. This is all apart of advocating for the families and children who are affected by the system. Foster Care awareness month is a great excuse to talk more about Foster Care but these families and children are living the reality long after the month of May is over. So let’s keep the conversation going. And more importantly - let’s keep the support going!!

Nationally, up to 50% of foster parents quit after their first year, largely due to isolation and burnout. While exact statistics vary by program, studies show that families supported by a consistent, wrap-around community are 2 to 3 times more likely to continue fostering past the initial years.

Connecting with a strong local support system addresses the root causes of turnover - burnout!

Why Community Keeps Families Fostering: Fostering children who have experienced trauma can be exhausting. Regular peer-to-peer sharing normalizes these struggles and validates emotional grief. Practical help also helps lightens the daily logistical load.

This is why RISE is so passionate about what we do! When people step up and step in - kids benefit! Families benefit!

Today is not just the start of summer. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

It's a day to stop, remember, and honor.

To every fallen soldier and every family who has carried the weight of that loss β€” we see you. We are grateful. Your sacrifice is not forgotten.

From all of us at RISE β€” Happy Memorial Day. May we never take lightly the freedom we have been given. πŸ’›

Did you know?

On any given day, nearly 370,000 children are in foster care in the United States. In Colorado alone, thousands of children are in the system β€” many right here in the Denver metro area.

These aren't statistics. They're kids who need safe, stable, and loving homes.

Foster Care Awareness Month is our chance to shine a light on these children and the families who show up for them every single day. πŸ’›

At RISE, we support the families who say "yes" β€” because when parents feel supported, everyone in the home can heal and grow.

🌟 Resource spotlight!

The Colorado State Foster Parent Association (CSFPA) is an amazing organization in our state for foster, kinship, adoptive, and reunified families.

βœ… Community so families don't walk this journey alone

If you're a foster, kinship, or adoptive family in Colorado β€” or thinking about becoming one β€” CSFPA is a vital resource.

And RISE is here alongside them, providing the day-to-day relational and practical support that keeps families going. πŸ’› risefamily.org
