Nobody has biopsy eyes.

If a spot, lesion, patch, or sore, has been present for more than 7 days, find an ENT or oral surgeon to biopsy it.

I experienced my friend Dorne’s tongue cancer journey.

A devastating 9- hour tongue removal, bi-lateral neck dissection surgery, and then his death almost years after an urgent care nurse practitioner said "it is nothing, here is an antibiotic".
Call me in a few days if it isn't better.
It was a stage 4 cancerous tumor!

Never tolerate anyone dismissing your concerns.

Your dental provider must perform an oral cancer screening with a head and neck exam at every visit.

This additional style of exam takes a few minutes.

It is NOT simply sticking your tongue out to a piece of gauze.

Lack of waterline and sterilization saftey is a serious problem happening in thousands of dental offices all over the country.

A bigger problem is how many dental offices are repeat offenders. Many have done it before, a list of violations dating back years!

Once upon a time Jacob was my dental assistant in the homeless shelters before serving in the Army for 4 years, then dental hygiene school, to currently owning his own portable dental hygiene clinic Dental Carévan !

"STI"- Sexually Transmitted Infection "HPV"- can cause oral cancer and oropharyngeal cancer.

This Denver gynecology physician talks openly about how cervical & some oral/ oropharyngeal cancer are caused by HPV, a s*xually transmitted infection.

The transmission of the Human Papiloma Virus (HPV) causing oral or oropharyngeal cancer, can happen through oral s*x, and sometimes from just deep tongue kissing.
It can lie dormant for 20- 40 years.

Dental hygienists and dentists have known this for decades.

Every person needs a proper, very detailed oral cancer screening/ head and neck exam by your dental hygienist or dentist at every exam.

It is mandatory under Colorado dental licensing.

It is not just grasping the tongue, right to left for 5 seconds. That technique is inexperienced and substandard care.

HPV 16 and HPV 18 are the most aggressive, and cause approximately 70% of all cervical cancers globally.

HPV infection, especially with HPV type 16, is the most common cause of oropharyngeal cancer.

This virus produces proteins that interfere with the genes controlling cell growth in the mouth and throat, leading to uncontrolled cell growth and tumor formation.

The body often clears HPV infections on its own, but when it doesn’t, this infections can lead to cancer.

HPV 16 and HPV 18 are most commonly associated with head and neck cancers, and cervical cancer.

If you are a patient who needs a biopsy, be sure to ask that the pathology department determines its etiology with a specific test for HPV; which strain, or not HPV at all.
