On October 11th, we held our General Assembly and were honored to welcome Dr. Elena Lamb, Breast Surgical Oncologist at Jefferson Health, who spoke on the importance of Breast Cancer awareness. Her presentation was both informative and meaningful for our community, especially as so many of us have loved ones who have been affected by Breast Cancer.
Dr. Lamb offered clear guidance on early detection, risk factors, and the importance of proactive wellness. She reminded us how vital it is to support one another, stay informed, and encourage the women in our lives to prioritize their health.
We thank Alexandra Vamvakidou, who shared her own journey with Breast Cancer and how her path crossed with Dr. Lamb’s. We are truly grateful to have Alexandra as part of our Philoptochos sisterhood and appreciate all she does for our chapter.
