Interested in bringing STEM projects to your club, but don't know where to start?
This STEM Without Fear webinar series is designed to introduce 4-H volunteers to STEM!
The webinar series will cover four topics for 30 minutes each. Each topic will be offered twice a day (two identical sessions), and each topic will be recorded.
"You Don’t Need to Be the Expert" will be held on Monday, 4/27/2026. Session 1 will be at 12pm, and Session 2 will be at 6pm. It will cover:
• Safe Sharing: Fear of STEM
• STEM is Everywhere
• Nonformal Educator/Facilitator Role
• Lesson Planning & Effective Questioning
• Outcomes, Objectives, and Bloom’s Taxonomy
• Practice: Asking STEM-Oriented Questions
"STEM in Your Project Area" will be held on Monday, 5/4/2026. Session 1 will be held at 12pm, and Session 2 will be held at 6pm. It will cover:
• Sharing of Project Areas
• Making Connections
• Example Questions by Project Area
• STEM Resources
• Let’s Talk About Goats (STEM Integration in Animal Science)
"Simple Activities for Any Budget" will be held on Monday, 5/11/2026. Session 1 will be at 12pm, and Session 2 will be at 6pm. It will cover:
• Bringing it All Together (Recap)
• STEM Lessons with No Equipment
• Tour of STEM Resources in Cloverlink
• Starting Points
• Targeting Life Skills
• STEM Activity: Lava Lamps
• Pro Tips for Budget Constraints
