Our State Council member, Emma, traveled to Harrisburg yesterday with other representatives of Penn State's College of Ag Sciences to help share the story of how Penn State, Extension, and 4-H help shape lives and impact thousands across Pennsylvania.

Join us Friday, June 12 at the Extension Office for the Jefferson County 4-H Public Speaking Contest! Please register by June 5. I need at least 5 contestants to hold this event and late registrations will not be taken.

We are also looking for sponsors for awards and also judges for this event. If you know of a business or individual who would be willing to sponsor or judge, please reach out to Amanda (see contact info in the image).

Interested in bringing STEM projects to your club, but don't know where to start?

This STEM Without Fear webinar series is designed to introduce 4-H volunteers to STEM!

The webinar series will cover four topics for 30 minutes each. Each topic will be offered twice a day (two identical sessions), and each topic will be recorded.

"You Don’t Need to Be the Expert" will be held on Monday, 4/27/2026. Session 1 will be at 12pm, and Session 2 will be at 6pm. It will cover:
• Safe Sharing: Fear of STEM
• STEM is Everywhere
• Nonformal Educator/Facilitator Role
• Lesson Planning & Effective Questioning
• Outcomes, Objectives, and Bloom’s Taxonomy
• Practice: Asking STEM-Oriented Questions

"STEM in Your Project Area" will be held on Monday, 5/4/2026. Session 1 will be held at 12pm, and Session 2 will be held at 6pm. It will cover:
