Great job scouts and leaders from Brookville Cub Scout Pack 47, Troop 47 and 5047! Also, wonderful singing of our national anthem from Billy Harp and Rylie Prince! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Scouts from Troop 47 and 5047 participated in a flag ceremony/ dedication in conjunction with the AMVETS Post 1789 and VFW Post 3288 this morning at the Duramax plant in Brookville.

This would be the largest flag they've ever unfurled, weighing in at 25lbs and approximately 25x40 feet in size! It was certainly a team effort!

We're very proud and honored to represent the city and scouts did a fantastic job! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Some of us really are experiencing very difficult situations. I would think a large majority of people having a "bad day" would certainly keep their own vs. assuming responsibility over someone else's.

What would you do? Kinda makes you think, doesn't it?

This weekend we celebrated a crossover and campout at Cricket Holler. We've gained 3 new scouts into our troop on Saturday night.

The girls, along with Troop 47, built an extremely sturdy rope bridge for the cub scouts to physically and symbolically ''cross over" from a pack to a troop of their choice. We all shared a giant dinner prepared by scouts, leaders, and parents. The girls were helpful by teaching all the Arrow of Light Scouts the firem'n chit while Troop 47 taught the totin chit.

Did I mention we actually had a campout with no monsoon rains, thunderstorms and extreme wind, snow, or any other adverse weather? That was the cherry on top!

Continuing on with home repairs merit badge last night. Cutting and hanging drywall.

Going through scouts will teach you to adapt more efficiently, mostly to problems that arise. To "use what you got."

While there wasn't really a problem, the girls use what they have, and although unconventional, I really love hearing them play TAPS on their flute. This time was a duet, without even practicing their timing.

We were also blessed to hear many other songs around the campfire too.

Didn't get many photos but we had a successful campout this weekend with 3 new members. It was cold and windy but thankfully the severe wind was before and after our camp. More memories made!
