Hi all. Our class reunion is coming up soon. Not all classmates are on FB. If you see a classmate can you ask them if they know about it and if not let me know that you spoke to them? I want to make sure everyone knows even though not everyone will come. I appreciate the help!! If you plan on coming please go to the event and click on GOING. I need a headcount by the beginning of August.

Hi classmates. I appreciate the input on our 45th class reunion. After some research we have a plan. Our goal was to make it super simple (no money collection up front) and easy on everyone. I’ll create an event but wanted to get the details out.

Date: Aug 22
Time: 6PM
Place: 3rd Place on Main St
Cost: $20 per person for food. Cash bar

Mark your calendars and please pass this on!!

Hi class of ‘81. Is anyone interested in doing a 45th class reunion this year? Please respond here and share with classmates you know. One piece of feedback we’ve received is to not have it the first weekend in October. Thanks for any input you have.

Hi all We received this email below. Hope you can make it

BHS Class of ‘81,

Friends of the Franklin County Indiana Animal Shelter would first like to thank you for your generosity. As you may recall, we embarked on the huge process of having a new shelter built to better serve the community, as well as to provide a more humane facility to house animals until we find a forever home for them. Without donations from individuals and businesses, we would not have been able to make this dream a reality.

Because of your kind contribution, we are celebrating the grand opening of the new shelter Saturday, August 16, and we would be honored to have you join us for this special day.

Date: August 16th
Time: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Dog Victory Walk 12:30 p.m.
Location: 9076 Landfill Road, Metamora, IN
The Roaming Mug will be joining us!

Here’s what you can look forward to at this event:

Watch our beloved dogs take their Victory Lap from the old shelter to their new space — a moment of hope, joy, and second chances!

Meet adoptable pets and submit adoption or foster applications.

Learn how YOU can become a volunteer and make a difference. We would love to have you.

Check out our shelter merchandise.

Meet our team, tour the new space, and feel the love that built this new temporary home for these sweet animals.

This isn’t just a building — it’s a fresh start for countless animals, and we can’t wait to share it with our community. These animals deserve it.

Bring your friends, your family, and your love for animals — let’s make it a day to remember!

Happy 2024 BHS Class of 81! A few from our class volunteer at the Franklin County Animal Shelter. The county has received a grant to build a much needed new shelter but it only covers the building. They are in need of some help to fund the kennels. We can sponsor one as a class for a sum of $3000. Are any of you willing to donate towards this great cause?? Diana Hurst Getz, Tracey O’Connor Kettle or myself can all answer questions if you have them. If interested please PM any of us to let us know how much you can donate. Please share with any of our classmates who you think may be interested. I’m adding a picture of the letter they are sending to local businesses. If you could let us know by April 13 that would be great!!
