I just want to thank everyone who participated in our first Wreaths Across America in Brookville PA. My Granddaughter, Isabelle Schrecengost for her leadership skills in helping me all year long.
Our guest speakers included Senator Cris Dush, Randy Bartley and Invocation from Pastor Joe Short from Brookville First. Boy Scout Troop 67 served hot chocolate and Brookvilles NJHS served cookies and cakes. The American Legion Post 102 led by Commander Steve Ent did the Rifle Salute and Taps. I would also like to thank the Brookville 5th graders who came to this cemetery and scrubbed the headstones in remberence, not know we were holding the Ceremony there. Lastly to all the area businesses especially Katy's Bulk Store and patriotic friends, you are the ones who made this day a success. After the ceremony I placed the ceremonial wreaths in front of our Courthouse in front of the war monuments...not realizing as I came thru town at night, they were lit. Please take a moment to Remember, Honor and Teach.
