After prayer with my family and reaching out directly to the people of the 6th district, today I have filed to run for Georgia's 6th Congressional district special election on April 18, 2017. As a Christian rooted in the American working class, at an early age my family instilled in me a strong faith, trust in God, and to always value hard work- from my first jobs as a paperboy and dishwasher to m
y time as a Property Craftspersons in the film industry, you work hard in pursuit of the American Dream. For too long Democrats and Republicans have ignored our biggest challenges, because both parties are beholden to moneyed interest. As an independent I will only be beholden to the People of the 6th district. I'm calling my platform Constitution & Independence. It has 3 parts: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Life is a healthcare plan. We save Medicare, because it's our money, the program works, and it needs to be there when folks need it. Liberty is a plan to take care of our Veterans and military. We give our men and women in service a raise. We pay for it by going to the Pentagon, finding the $6.5 TRILLION the Pentagon lost, holding the folks who lost the money accountable, and diverting those funds to our Veterans as a thank you. The Pursuit of Happiness is an economic plan. We follow what Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower did with the interstate system. We put a lot of people to work rebuilding our country, our waterway systems, roads, and bridges. These would be good paying jobs that would not go anywhere. In order to form a more perfect union, I pledge to work with anyone from either party on 2 things; 1. getting money out of politics and 2. term limits. One of the biggest reasons our government does not respond to the People is because our elected officials are financed by special interests, often causing our elected officials to make questionable votes. Also, once elected, some folks tend to be in Congress for what seems forever. If elected, I will not serve in the House longer than 1 Senator's term of 6 years. While serving I will work with anyone willing to enact term limits. I am running for Congress to represent the People, to be a check and balance the powers of the other federal branches. Congress needs an independent voice that will stand for the Constitution and stand for Georgians, and life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. For too long Congress has taken their constitutional responsibilities lightly. I will not. I will work tirelessly for the People of Georgia's 6th. With your vote, I can be an independent voice for an independent people.
