Kitten season is definitely booming!

We currently have a six babies in care, two of which are on bottles and we just got a call about a litter of newborn, only days old, whose mama left them. We are in need of a few things, namely syringes for feeding, milk replacer, blankets, p*e pads, and kitten food. Basically, all things kitten!

We also have a few adults in care, including a nursing mama! If anyone is able to help out, it would be greatly appreciated!

It's $5 Friday, and our cats need your help.

So far this year, Bracken County Animals in Need has spent over $15,000 on cat care alone. From medical treatment and vaccinations to food, litter, and emergency care, the costs have been overwhelming—but these animals deserve every chance at a healthy, happy life.

Right now, our funds are running dangerously low. We are committed to helping every animal that comes through our doors, but we can't do it without the support of our community.

If just a few people give $5 today, it can make a real difference. And if you're able to give a little more, every dollar goes directly toward caring for the cats and other animals who depend on us.

Between us and the shelter, there are multiple calls and messages every day about cats...stray, dumped, pregnant, hurt, sick, etc.

We know there are A LOT of cats that need help and homes, but there are only 4 of us who foster cats, and there are only so many that we can handle (without losing our minds 🤪).

Thankfully, we were able to send 33 cats out today, but we already have about 50 more that we have been contacted about plus the cats that are still in foster.

Saying that, we are taking a break for a little bit, just a week or so, but we all need to clean our spaces, reorganize some things, and just breathe for a minute, before we start all over again.

If you would like to foster, please reach out. You just need a safe, indoor space and time to spend with the cat. If you want just kittens, we can do that. If you want mamas, adult cats, sick or injured cats...we will have them! If you just want cats that are fully vetted, ready to go and are just waiting, you can do that too!

Thank you to everyone who supports our little rescue, through donations, shopping at the Animal Allies Thrift Store, or just holding and caring for cats until we can get them. It is all appreciated so much!

That's how many we took to the League for Animal Welfare this morning!

Some were ready to go, some were sick, and some still needed to gain weight, but all now have the chance to find a great home!
