The outlook for what this organization may turn into is still evolving, but the goal remains the same… to encourage our youth to have a positive outlook on their future.

We hope this small ripple of positivity will carry on and turn into waves.

A large part of the success we want to foster starts with asking yourself the hard questions — who are you? What path do you want to go down?

SELF REFLECT — what are your true interests, desires, and dreams. Who do you want to strive to be as a person. What are your strengths and weaknesses.

PUT IN THE WORK — do your due diligence. Study hard/work hard. Don’t let the judgement of others influence your efforts.

ASK QUESTIONS — the only dumb question is the one that is not asked. Ask the hard questions of yourself and of the things you’re interested in. Be open minded and curious.

BUILD & STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIPS — create a network around you that strengthens you. Seek out those with similar interests. Seek out a mentor(s). New opportunities often come from unexpected places.

A quick update from our November meeting.

Here are a few points that came up in discussion that we believe are very important to explore in terms of success for our youth.

Things will of course continue to evolve as we progress, but we would love to hear any feedback from the community. Consider joining us at our next meeting which we hope to schedule soon!

As an organization, we want to be a part of the movement where we not only include children’s names in the discussion of college/trade school, but also in the conversation of “what do you want to do in your life?”

It may sound simple, and second nature to some — but just think of the youth who have never heard their name in a conversation about their future.

Let’s change that.
