Today, June 19, 2026, marks your 7th birthday, MaKenna (“Ken-Ken”) Williams.
Although you’re not here on Earth, I know there’s a celebration happening in heaven, hosted by Ernestine Howell and Ernestine Washington—two of the best angels to look after you.
Even though it’s your birthday, you continue to give me the gift of gratitude, strength, tenacity, and endurance for life’s journey.
There’s a saying that “time heals everything,” yet I believe grief never truly heals; we simply learn how to care for it. The crying spells are no longer loud and painful, but quiet and reflective. Moments of silence turn into trips down memory lane, with images of laughter with you and your sisters. Celebrations become reminders of how much I wish you were here to take part in them.
We love you and miss you daily.
