S.A.S Italian Records was an iconic, family-owned music store in Brooklyn’s Bensonhurst neighborhood that closed in 2025 after nearly 60 years in business, following the death of co-owner Rita Conte. Founded in 1967 by Ciro and Rita Conte, the store was a cultural hub selling Italian CDs, records, movies, and other Italian goods, named for their children Silvana, Adrianne, and Silverio. Its closure marked the end of an era for the Italian-American community, as it was one of the last of its kind in the area. Share your memories of S.A.S. Italian Records with us 💚🤍❤️
