Two weeks ago, we lost a former member of the Bed-Stuy Sluggers family, Riley Billingslea.

Riley was once a Slugger, and although his time with our organization may have been years ago, he will always be a part of our family.

At Bed-Stuy Sluggers, we believe that once you become a Slugger, you are always a Slugger. ⚾️💙

Today, we celebrate Riley’s life and remember the young man who was once a part of our team, our community, and our Slugger family.

Our deepest condolences go out to Riley’s family, friends, teammates, and everyone who loved him.

May he rest in peace, and may his memory continue to live on.
Once a Slugger always a Slugger

Jackie Robinson Weekend 2026 is a wrap, and we are still feeling it. ⚾✨

What started as a parade through the neighborhood turned into a full day of baseball, community, and kids just being kids on the field at Von King. The energy out there reminded us exactly why we show up every single day.

Thank you to all our volunteers, sponsors and partners who made it all possible.
