Today, our preschoolers and their families came together for one of our favorite events of the year—Undokai, Japan’s traditional Field Day! From exciting races to team challenges, the children had an amazing time cheering each other on, celebrating their classmates, and creating wonderful memories together. 🎉

Undokai is a beloved end-of-year tradition in schools across Japan, and we’re so grateful to bring this special cultural experience to our Aozora community each year. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make today so memorable. We loved celebrating with you! ☀️

Yesterday was our Japanese Music Day Camp and we had an absolute blast! 🎤🎶🇯🇵

Our older campers explored the world of enka, traditional Japanese ballads, and even put on their own mini karaoke performances! 🎵✨ Meanwhile, our younger campers dove into Japanese pop music, sang their favorite anime songs, and performed like true idols for their senseis 🌟🎀🎤

Just a reminder that public schools (and Academy!) will be closed next Thursday & Friday, June 4th and 5th, 2026 📅✨

Last Friday, About a Smile Dentistry came to visit our school and gave a special presentation to all our students 🦷✨ The children learned about what dentists do, what kinds of tools they use, and what happens during a visit to the dentist. The dentist used picture books to help explain everything in a way that was easy to understand, even for children who have never been to the dentist before 📚😊

The children also took turns helping brush the teeth of a mascot puppet named Spot-kun 🪥🐶 and everyone received a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss to take home as a gift 🎁

The dentist shared that going to the dentist can be a fun experience and encouraged families to visit regularly for checkups 💛 Thank you so much for coming !
