The World Zen Art Center (WZAC-NY) is a distinguished non-profit institution dedicated to the research and promotion of Zen art. Established in the State of New York on December 15, 2012, it operates under the esteemed guidance of Master Yi-Xiong Gu, a highly respected figure in this field. Our Mission is to explore the essence of Zen Tao and art, fostering their growth and flourishing both in the

United States and globally. We aim to ensure that these cultural treasures are appreciated and preserved for future generations. Our Commitment is to advance the cultural significance of Zen art by promoting its development and prosperity. We recognize and honor outstanding Zen artists and scholars through our international Zen Art “Honorary Fellow” Awards and Recognition Awards for significant contributions to Zen art. Cultural Commitment
As a non-profit Zen study center, WZAC-NY is devoted to exploring and preserving the profound and mysterious Eastern Zen Tao culture and art. Our emphasis on the profound study of the occult Chinese culture of Zen Tao and Art includes Tai Chi and Bagua, which hold paramount significance within the theoretical framework of Chinese philosophy. The unity of yin and yang represents the eternal law of the universe, as exemplified in the profound wisdom of the Zhou Yi, also known as the I Ching or Classic of Changes. This philosophy flourished during the Song Dynasty, with its most distinguished proponent being the renowned scholar Zhu Xi. Zen and Chinese Philosophy
Zen has played a vital role in Chinese philosophy and religious culture, with masters throughout Chinese history attaining remarkable achievements in the practices of divination and Zen. By embracing the wisdom of Zen Tao, individuals can transcend their troubles and gain insights into the foreseeable future. The conscious mind traverses boundaries, exploring the vastness of the universe and realms beyond human comprehension. Zen Art Practice
Through the practice of Chinese Zen calligraphy and ink painting, artists enter a Zen state through meditation, creating artwork that serves as a profound expression of Zen itself. This art resonates with viewers, bringing clarity, tranquility, and a return to one’s true self. It inspires introspection and prompts individuals to reevaluate their approach to life and their perception of the world.
