Let not your current circumstance, needs or difficulties persuade you to let go of promises that you are certain the Lord has made to you. Be audacious!
It is imperative that you learn to hear from God as He still speaks to His kids in this generation. It is further imperative that you are confident in your relationship with the Lord and respect yourself to trust that you are capable of hearing from God.
There is a trend I notice among believers, that they think believing means "maybe". It will often be said, "'maybe' God spoke to me." We are imperfect for sure, but with the Holy Spirit, we are able to communicate with the Lord! Just don't be frivolous with "God told me," make sure it was God who spoke to you, but trust God speaks to "you."
I love Abraham in Genesis 24 where he took his stance. When the servant asked, should I take Isaac back to your father's land; Abraham was adamant that Isaac stays in the promised land and not go to where God called Abraham from.
Abraham did not abandon the promise. He believes God spoke and was holding God accountable to deliver.
Do as Abraham did below in Genesis 24:1-8, don't deviate from the promise due to your present circumstances and needs.
Abraham...said to the senior servant in his household...“ go to my country and my own relatives and get a wife for my son Isaac.” The servant asked him, “What if the woman is unwilling to come back with me to this land? Shall I then take your son back to the country you came from?” “Make sure that you do not take my son back there...The Lord, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your offspring I will give this land’—he will send His angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there. If the woman is unwilling to come back with you, then you will be released from this oath of mine. Only do not take my son back there.”
Let it be said of you, that you have the audacity to believe that God should deliver on His promises to you. Abraham had the audacity to believe God and expected delivery of the promises from God.
