PLAY in a Day (PiAD) is Brooklyn Acting Lab’s creative one-day program designed to keep children engaged, connected, and inspired during school breaks, holidays, and days off.
Every session begins with a new theme that launches students into an immersive storytelling adventure. Through interactive process drama, collaborative games, music, movement, and imaginative play, children don’t just hear a story—they step inside it.
One day they might become explorers on a mysterious island. Another day they might solve a kingdom’s greatest challenge, travel through time, or discover a world filled with magical creatures. Working together as an ensemble, students help shape the story as it unfolds, making choices, solving problems, and creating unforgettable moments along the way.
While they’re having fun, children are also building confidence, creativity, communication skills, collaboration, adaptability, and imaginative thinking.
