Most Senior Special Apostle Dr. Pastor Gabriel Olayinka Kassim is a distinguished minister, church leader, educator, and professional who has dedicated many decades of his life to the service of God, humanity, and the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O).
EARLY LIFE AND FAMILY BACKGROUND
Most Senior Special Apostle Dr. Pastor Gabriel Olayinka Kassim was born on Friday, July 17, 1936, into the family of the late Pa Samuel Pelemoh Kassim and the late Janet Iyaniwura Aminatu Kassim in Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria.
His late mother, Janet Iyaniwura Aminatu Kassim, hailed from Okorun, the same street associated with the founder of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase.
CHURCH LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE
Most Senior Special Apostle Dr. Pastor Gabriel Olayinka Kassim has served the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O) in several significant leadership capacities over the years.
- He has served as Chairman of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O), New York District, from 1982 to the present.
- He served as Chairman of the USA Sub-Conference from 1986 to 2011.
- He currently serves as the CSMC USA Zonal Chairman.
- He has served as Chairman of the C&S Council of Churches in the USA from 2001 to the present.
- He served as Leader-in-Charge and Senior Pastor of the CSMC Worldwide (Ayo Ni O) New York Headquarters from 1982 to 1997.
- In March 2026, he reassumed the responsibility of General Leader/Leader-in-Charge of the Headquarters Church of the New York District.
- He served as Assistant Leader and Representative of the USA at Universal CSMC Bronx from 1978 to 1982.
- He was ordained as a Pastor by the C&S College of Divinity Seminary, Ayo Ni O, Lagos Campus, on April 16, 1993.
- He is a Member of the Board of Trustees, a Member of the Baba Aladura in Council, and a Member of the Council of Advisers to the Spiritual Father.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
His educational and professional journey spans several decades of learning, teaching, healthcare service, and theological development.
1. He received his early education at Ikare Elementary School and later pursued his secondary education from 1947 to 1961 under the Christian Mission Society (CMS) and at Victory College, Ikare.
2. He was a member of the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) from 1956 to 1971.
3. He worked as a school teacher at The Apostolic Secondary Modern School, Ikoro-Ekiti, from 1962 to 1967.
4. From 1967 to 1971, he trained and worked as a Registered Professional Nurse under the Seventh-day Adventist Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
5. He obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in 1975.
6. He obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in 1978.
7. In 2010, he was awarded a Ph.D./Phil.D. in Theology by a Bible College and Theological Seminary.
PROFESSIONAL CAREER
Beyond his extensive church responsibilities, Most Senior Special Apostle Dr. Pastor Gabriel Olayinka Kassim had a distinguished professional career in healthcare.
He worked at Brookdale University and Medical Hospital Center, where he served in the capacity of Associate Director of Nursing. He retired from his professional career in 2010, bringing to a close decades of dedicated service in the healthcare sector.
MIGRATION AND FAMILY LIFE
Most Senior Special Apostle Dr. Pastor Gabriel Olayinka Kassim migrated to the United States of America on Sunday, January 2, 1972.
He got married on Sunday, March 30, 1975, and has enjoyed a blessed marriage spanning 51 years. He is a father of three children and is blessed with three grandchildren.
