Jamaica Nurses Group of New York nurses attended the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference in Montego Bay June 14-18th. On Thursday June 19th our nurses participated in the "Day of Service" on the health care team at Flankers Health Center, Montego Bay. The JNGNY team of Dr. Rose Green RN, Dr. Sophia Munoz-Bennett NP, Dr. Bridgette Bennett RN, Dr. Maureen Lowers-Roach RN, Claudette Powell RN along with Dr. Robert Clarke MD and Lorraine Smith provided health and mental health care and education for 58 patients. The nurses of the Jamaica Nurses Group of New York partnered with Dr. Garfield Clunie MD of 100 Black Men of America to provide blood pressure screening for health education and to support kidney disease screening at the 100 Black Men of America 40th Conference in New York City. Jamaica Nurses Group of New York, committed to Caring at home and abroad". Each year, along with the Jamaica Nurses of New Jersey and in collaboration with Team Jamaica Bickle we provide health screenings and teaching as well as first aid at the Penn Relays. We continue this tradition for 2026.
