A massive thank you to Spear Physical Therapy for providing a Physical Therapy workshop for our UpSwing students! Our players learned about their Rotator Cuff muscles and how to work them out. They worked on balance training, how to prevent injury and they also worked on mobility. We love partnerships like these that bring even more fun, skills, training and knowledge to our amazing youth!

What a night. 🎾🎨
On June 4, friends old and new joined us at Hunter Dunbar Projects to celebrate Paint the Lines, KCTL's annual art benefit. Guests viewed this year's collection, met the talented artists behind the work, and came together in support of free tennis and enrichment programming for Brooklyn youth.
A special thank you to Dave Webley for five years of vision, dedication, and leadership in coordinating Paint the Lines. What began as an art benefit has grown into a meaningful tradition that brings together artists, collectors, tennis lovers, and supporters of KCTL's mission.
The gallery may be closed, but the auction isn't over yet. The Paint the Lines auction remains live on Artsy through June 14. Every bid helps create more opportunities for young tennis athletes across Brooklyn NYCHA housing. LINK BELOW!

Giving our rackets a fresh grip for a summer full of tennis 🎾
As part of Impact Day, Deloitte volunteers joined us at Marcy Playground in Brooklyn to help re-grip KCTL’s tennis rackets, ensuring our students have the equipment they need to learn, play, and thrive on court.
Thank you to the team for rolling up your sleeves and making an impact with us!

Artist Spotlight: Asif Hoque

We're proud to feature Brooklyn artist Asif Hoque in this year's Paint the Lines exhibition. Through his work, Hoque explores identity, memory, and belonging, drawing from his Bengali heritage and multicultural upbringing.

Asif's belief that art can bridge cultures and honor the communities that shape us aligns deeply with KCTL's mission to create opportunities, belonging, and growth for Brooklyn youth through tennis.

“Brooklyn helped shape me as an artist, and I’m grateful for the chance to give back to the community. I look forward to doing more projects like this in the future.” -Asif Hoque

Thank you, Asif, for supporting KCTL and helping create opportunities for Brooklyn youth through art and sport.

What a day! 🙌 Huge thanks to for inviting our kids to be part of their Roland-Garros NYC Experience. From getting in the game to taking home some seriously cool merch, the smiles said it all.

Days like this remind us why play matters: building confidence, reinforcing friendships, and making memories that last.

Thank you TNT Sports for making our kids feel like champions. We can't wait to see what's next!

Blending vibrant neighborhood influences and iconic NYC street art imagery, this piece captures the color, culture, and creativity that make Brooklyn feel alive.

“I love being an advocate for youth sports programs, especially in underprivileged areas; as a father of two young athletes, I’ve experienced first hand the invaluable impact sports can have on a young person's self confidence, ability to work with others, friendship making, and overall happiness.” — JJ Manford

A huge thank you to JJ for supporting our mission and helping raise funds for free tennis programming for Brooklyn youth. 🎾❤️

Artist Spotlight: Brooke Stewart

We’re honored to feature “Study 6, 1966 Grand Central Tennis Courts, founded by Geza A. Gazdag, a Hungarian immigrant” by Brooke Stewart as part of this year’s Paint the Lines exhibition.

“What I admire about the Kings County Tennis League is its commitment to providing free, safe access to sports for young people. Youth sports shaped so much of who I am, public courts and programs were where I built confidence, friendships, and learned the value of practice, failure, and the ability to try again. Those lessons remain central to both my life and my art practice, and I am honored that my work can support an organization creating those opportunities for the next generation.” — Brooke Stewart

Thank you, Brooke, for participating in Paint the Lines and for helping make a difference in the KCTL community through your artwork and support.

Paint the Lines will be featured on Artsy from June 1st – June 14th, with the in-person gallery exhibition hosted at Hunter Dunbar Projects from June 2nd – June 6th. Join us in celebrating artists using their work to uplift youth access to sports, creativity, and community.
