Our Story
Camp B’Yachad is an overnight camp for rising 5th through 9th grade campers. Located in upstate New York, campers enjoy 8 days of waterfront activities, sports, arts, and much much more. Camp B'Yachad programming aims to provide a meaningful overnight camping experience, which is a fusion of engaging educational programs and traditional camp activities. The curriculum of Camp B’Yachad aims to explore the circles of the campers identity and lives as well as providing them with concrete knowledge on the greater Jewish history. The themes of the camp guides the teens to exploring their personal Jewish identities, expanding out into their Soviet family histories, bringing them back to their current Russian-speaking Jewish American communities and the values they are built on, understanding the role of Israel in the wider Jewish world, allowing the teens to reflect on their experience during a traditional community Shabbat, and concluding by giving the campers the tools they would need to continue being involved in their current Jewish communities
