Technology for Families In Need - Techfin Technology for Families In Need collects donated PCs & laptops from corporations, refurbishes it and distributes it to low income households.

Technology for Families In Need: TechFIN was created to help address the continuing issue of the growing digital divide in the United States. Due to lack of resources and access, millions of low income families are unable to fully participate in the Digital Age that we currently reside in. The repercussions of this lack of access are numerous and devastating to the greater community. Access to the

internet is becoming increasingly fundamental to a normal existence. Everything from school homework and college applications to job applications now require some level of access. TechFIN realized that there was an opportunity to address this immediate need while solving additional issues at the same time. Many companies in Corporate America that utilize technology are on a two to four year upgrade cycle with their hardware. After that point, the machines no longer meet the needs of these demanding environments. Too often companies simply scrap these machines. TechFIN seeks to make sure that these resources are redirected to where they are needed most.

We are happy to announce Trish Beck as our newest addition to our board of directors! Dr. Trisha Beck has over two decades of executive leadership experience in healthcare and education. Her expertise spans nonprofit mission-driven leadership and for-profit business development. Trisha holds a Master's degree from Northeastern University and a Doctorate from New York University and currently serves as Executive Director of the EdD Leadership and Innovation program and Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University.

TechFIN is thrilled to announce that Nina Hassler has joined our board of Dldirectors! Nina brings private-sector experience to mission-driven work across the board (pun intended). She has worked and volunteered extensively across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on programs supporting older adults, families in need, and animal welfare organizations. She currently serves as Chair of Membership for the UN NGO Committee on Ageing (New York). Having lived in four countries, Nina brings a comparative, global perspective to everything she does. She holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in International Development Policy and Nonprofit Management from NYU Wagner and is a lifelong learner committed to continuous growth and impact.
