This is Opening Week for Red Hook Boaters! Join us this Thurs. 6/3 (6-8pm) & Sun. 6/6 (1-4pm) & bring a friend. Kayaking with us is free & is weather permitting so if it has been/is raining, pls check here before heading down.

If unvaccinated, please wear a mask & maintain social distance.

Our 2021 paddling season is on! Due to Covid-19, we will have additional safety protocols in place including mask mandates.

Sundays, 1:00PM - 4:00PM: June 6th until September 19th.
Thursdays, 6:00PM - 8:00PM: June 3rd until August 12th.

Due to continuing concerns about how to reopen our public kayaking program while maintaining safe procedures for the public, our public program will continue to be on hold and this may last through the end of the season (which typically ends in late Sept.). If the situation changes and we are able to open a modified program, we will post it here.

In the meanwhile, we encourage you to make use of the hidden resource that is Valentino Park which has opportunities for outdoor social distancing especially during weekdays.

Our 2020 paddling season is currently suspended due to Covid-19. We are monitoring the situation and will re-open if and when we can, in accordance with public health regulations.

The Annual Meeting of the Tribes (borrowing that title from ). Last weekend's volunteer kayak/camping trip to Ft. Wadsworth w/several other NYC kayak clubs.

You can volunteer with us! Come by Valentino Pier, Red Hook, during our public kayak hours from 1pm to 4pm this Sun. 9/15 or Sun. 9/22 to find out how.

There won't be free Red Hook kayaking this Sun. 9/8/19 (due to kayak-camping trip for our volunteers) but join us from 1pm-4pm next Sun. 9/15/19 & on the final day of the season, Sun. 9/22/19!

Great trip today with kids & counselors from the Peacemaking Program at Red Hook Community Justice Center! We paddled from Valentino Pier to Governor's Island & back...no easy task. Lots of determination though!
