Some people find it hard to believe God’s promises because they’ve seen so many things in the natural world that seem to contradict His Word.
But there’s a deceiver at work in the world and he's busy doing the same thing he’s been doing ever since the Garden of Eden: tricking mankind into believing God’s Word isn’t true. But look at it this way; it's like in a magic show where someone goes inside a box and then is sawed in half. You can see it with your own eyes that the guy’s feet are sticking out one end of the box and his head is poking out the other end, and then the box is plainly cut in half. Afterwards the magician slides the two halves back together and the guy that was cut in half jumps out of the box in one piece. Now you didn't really believe that the guy was truly cut in half. Of course not! We know that it's all a trick. A deception is something that appears one way when, in reality, it's a different way altogether. We may not know how it's done and we may not be able to explain it. But we know a person couldn’t be sawed in half, then put back together, so we refused to believe our eyes and that's exactly the way we need to be where the Word of God is concerned. The enemy has been working at his trickery for thousands of years and he has become a master at it. Think about that the next time he tries to make things look as though God’s Word is not going to work for you, when he makes it look like all hope is lost or like when he shows you something in the natural world that appears to contradict God's Word. You can just say, “Well, I saw that, but I’m not going to be gullible enough to believe it. I don’t care about appearances. I’m just going to stick with the Word. I believe the Word and I refuse to doubt it.” If we do that, Satan who is the father of lies will never be able to put one over on us again.

If we listen to the voice of the world, we will be worldly minded, or carnally minded, which is death. But, if we tune in to the voice of the Spirit of grace, we can become spiritually minded. And, according to the Word of God, that is life and peace. So, when the Spirit of God speaks to us through that still, small voice inside our hearts, we should listen and obey Him. His way works! We should trust Him and remember that He's got our well-being in mind.

What a wonderful time in the Lord with the Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Thank you all for filling our home with your love and presence. The Gathering in our home has brought us together in a more intimate way: food fellowship and good conversation and laughter. Hope to see you all at our next Gathering.

"All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. (43) A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. (44) And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. (45) They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. (46) They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity (47) all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved." (Acts 2:42-47 NLT) - A precious time with the brothers and sisters in Christ at The Gathering in our home. good fellowship, good food, sharing the Word of God, having communion together, and praying together. Thank you all for being a part of the first of many Gatherings in the future. * * * "las cuales se mantenían fieles a las enseñanzas de los apóstoles y en el mutuo compañerismo, en el partimiento del pan y en las oraciones.(43) Al ver las muchas maravillas y señales que los apóstoles hacían, todos se llenaban de temor, (44) y todos los que habían creído se mantenían unidos y lo compartían todo;(45) vendían sus propiedades y posesiones, y todo lo compartían entre todos, según las necesidades de cada uno.(46) Todos los días se reunían en el templo, y partían el pan en las casas, y comían juntos con alegría y sencillez de corazón, (47) mientras alababan a Dios y brindaban ayuda a todo el pueblo. (Hechos 2:42-47 RVC) - Un tiempo precioso con los hermanos y hermanas en Cristo en la reunión en nuestra casa . buen compañerismo , buena comida, compartir la Palabra de Dios, teniendo comunión juntos y orar juntos . Gracias por ser parte de la primera de muchas reuniones en el futuro a todos.
