We recognize the full diversity of ethnicity, religion, s*xuality, and gender within our communities, including but not limited to, the Arab, Middle Eastern, North African and LGBTQIA communities in New York City. We support collective and individual struggle against discrimination and other forms of oppression; therefore, we strive to create safe spaces and empower our members by fostering an inclusive environment free of racism, heteros*xism, misogyny, zionism, religionism, agism and classism. We work within MENA (Middle Eastern and North African) communities to reduce stigma towards q***r people and within q***r communities to reduce stigma toward people of MENA decent. We envision this work taking place through dialogue with leaders and broader community discussions. We are non-sectarian and secular; we respect all religious and non-religious backgrounds as equal. We do not believe in reinventing the wheel, but rather in creating opportunities to partner or work in solidarity with community groups and organizations that align with our values and further our mission. We speak only on behalf of Tarab NYC and we never claim to represent everyone in our community. We organize ourselves through a non-hierarchical leadership board that strives to represent the diversity of our community and is accountable for its actions. We believe that our rich cultural histories, past and present, are important to our lives. We are committed to supporting artists and creative projects within our community. We believe we should always make time to have fun and enjoy ourselves.

🌈 Join us for our next LGBTQ+ SWANA/MENA Community Support Group.

This support group is a welcoming and confidential space for LGBTQ+ individuals from the SWANA/MENA community to connect, share experiences, and build community with others who understand the unique intersections of our identities.

Whether you’re looking for support, meaningful conversation, or simply a place where you can be yourself, you’re welcome here. Together, we’ll foster connection, resilience, and healing in a safe and affirming environment.

Tarab NYC is bringing Q***r & Trans Middle Eastern & North African fabulousness to NYC Pride! This year we are centering Palestine, fighting back against pinkwashing and zionism. Join us and help build the power, leadership and voice of the Q***r Middle Eastern and North African community!

The parade starts around 25th Street and Fifth Ave (more details to follow), exact meetup location to be shared closer to event, marchers should arrive at 10AM, streets begin closing at 10:30AM and parade steps off promptly at 12PM. Join q***rs from all over the Middle East and North Africa, celebrating pride and fighting injustice, allies are welcome.

We are limited in the number of Marchers that can participate with us at NYC Pride. Those that register will be guaranteed a spot to march and will receive a wristband. If you arrive without registering, you may not be able to march with us if we run out of wristbands. Wristbands are being enforced by NYC Pride.

To help cover costs, we are asking for a donation of $20 per marcher or volunteer to setup/teardown and march for free.

Join Tarab NYC at the 2026 D**e March! We will meet at the Fortitude Lion, register for updates and notifications if there are changes. The theme of this year's march is HOT D***S MELT ICE , After we gather, we will begin marching together at 5PM down 5th Ave to Washington Sq. Park. Bring water and wear comfy shoes.

ANY person who identifies as a d**e is welcome to march regardless of gender expression or identity, s*x assigned at birth, s*xual orientation, race, age, political affiliation, religious identity, ability, class, or immigration status.

We ask that our allies respect the march as a space for self identified d**es by supporting us from the sidewalks, or by celebrating with us at the culmination of our protest in Washington Square Park.

NOTE: Tarab NYC wants to make it specifically clear that we support trans women as women. If you do not support this aspect of our values please do not join our group at D**e March or ever really.
