National Youth Organization of Pakistan We believe “Each generation should live better than last”. We all are trying to play our part in help Pakistani youth to have a better future.

Youth is an architect of future. This is not a conventional statement but it is carried a solid fact because the future of a nation depends on young people. Youth has the potential to make difficulties easier and convert impossible in to possible and if we ignore or not consider seriously of this very capable, full of dynamism and confident section of the society, this will lead not only to increasing depression and frustration among youth but also hampered their mental and emotional growth which can be seen by lack of youth participation in different fields of life. Pakistan has an estimated population of 210 Million while 60% population living on or below US $4 per day. We have approximately 63% young women and men that consider high ranking in the world. Many millions of these young men and women do not get adequate support, facilities and avenues to access opportunities for training, education and skills development so that they could ably contribute to the, betterment of society. In the present international scenario we need a modern/liberal and effective result-oriented action plan which would lead the youth in to positive direction and create a healthy attitudinal change for the moderate, enlightened and Peaceful society. We stand at 145th position in UNO Human Development Index 2010, which is a comparative measure of life expectancy, literacy, education and standards of living for countries worldwide. The index was developed in 1990 by Pakistani economist Mahbub ul Haq. Since 1987, the NYOP has been developing and supporting several types of national and international programs to address the humanitarian, educational, Human Rights advocacy, Social & political awareness, Trainings / capacity building, Drama and Theater, Inter-faith Dialogue, healthcare, economic needs of the masses. In some cases, NYOP implement these programs directly, while in others supports the efforts of other like-minded organizations and facilitates interaction between groups in order to maximize resources and outcomes. NYOP believe that “Each generation should live better than last”. If we join our ideas, resource and strength we will plant good seeds for the future of Pakistan.

Landmark MoU Signed to Empower Children with Skills and a Dignified Future

Punjab Child Protection Bureau, National Youth Organization Pakistan join hands under EIFA Project

LAHORE : Under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Chairman National Youth Organization of 🇵🇰& United States 🇺🇸(NYOP-USA) Shahid Khan, a significant agreement has been signed to provide children with education, vocational skills and opportunities for a dignified and self-reliant future.

The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Punjab and the National Youth Organization of Pakistan (NYOP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at empowering children through practical education, vocational training and creative skills.

The MoU was signed by Sarah Ahmad (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), Chairperson Child Protection and Welfare Bureau and Member Punjab Assembly, and Bilal Zuberi, Chairman National Youth Organization of Pakistan.

Under the Exclusive Institute of Fashion and Art (EIFA) Project, children will receive market-oriented training in fashion design, textile design, sewing, fine arts, pattern making and loom weaving.

The initiative seeks to go beyond traditional child protection by equipping children with practical skills that can help them achieve economic independence, confidence and a dignified livelihood.

Speaking on the occasion, participants emphasized that protecting children must also mean investing in their education, abilities and future. They said public institutions and civil society organizations must work together to ensure that vulnerable children are given meaningful opportunities to become productive and confident members of society.

Deputy Attorney General for Pakistan Raja Khurram Shahzad, Director General Rao Nadeem Akhtar, Director Programs Faisal Abbas, Director Administration Kashif Nawaz and other officials also attended the ceremony.

NYOP Welcomes Approval of Law Restricting Social Media Use by Children Under 16

Lahore: The National Youth Organization of Pakistan (NYOP) has welcomed the approval by the Punjab Assembly of legislation introducing restrictions on social media use by children under the age of 16.

NYOP had strongly supported the resolution presented by Ms. Sarah Ahmad, Chairperson of the Punjab Child Protection & Welfare Bureau, calling for legal measures to protect children from the potential harms of unrestricted social media use.

Shahid Khan, Chairman of the National Youth Organization of Pakistan, welcomed the passage of the legislation and said that protecting children from cyberbullying, online harassment, inappropriate content, exploitation, and other digital risks is a shared responsibility of the state, parents, schools, technology platforms, and society.

He emphasized that while the digital world provides children with valuable opportunities for education, communication, creativity, and learning, children also need appropriate safeguards to ensure their safety and healthy development.

Shahid Khan urged the government to ensure effective implementation of the new law, along with comprehensive digital literacy, cyber-safety, parental awareness, and child online-protection programs.

“Legislation is an important first step, but its success will depend on effective enforcement, public awareness, and cooperation among government institutions, parents, educational institutions, and digital platforms,” he said.

NYOP reaffirmed its commitment to working with government institutions, schools, parents, civil society, and other stakeholders to promote child protection and create a safer digital environment for Pakistan’s young generation.

نیشنل یوتھ آرگنائزیشن آف پاکستان (NYOP) کی جانب سے 16 سال سے کم عمر بچوں کے لیے سوشل میڈیا پر پابندی کی قرارداد کی بھرپور حمایت

نیویارک (اردو نیوز) نیشنل یوتھ آرگنائزیشن آف پاکستان (NYOP) نے پنجاب چائلڈ پروٹیکشن اینڈ ویلفیئر بیورو کی چیئرپرسن محترمہ سارہ احمد کی جانب سے 16 سال سے کم عمر بچوں کے لیے سوشل میڈیا کے استعمال پر قانونی پابندی کے مطالبے پر مبنی قرارداد کا خیرمقدم کرتے ہوئے اس کی مکمل حمایت کا اعلان کیا ہے۔

محترمہ سارہ احمد ، چئیرپرسن کا مؤقف ہے کہ آج کے ڈیجیٹل دور میں سوشل میڈیا بچوں کی زندگی کا اہم حصہ بن چکا ہے، تاہم اس کے غیر محتاط استعمال سے بچوں کی ذہنی صحت، تعلیمی کارکردگی، اخلاقی تربیت، سماجی رویوں اور مجموعی شخصیت پر منفی اثرات مرتب ہو سکتے ہیں۔ بچوں کو آن لائن ہراسانی، سائبر بُلنگ، نامناسب مواد اور دیگر ڈیجیٹل خطرات سے محفوظ رکھنا ریاست، والدین اور معاشرے کی مشترکہ ذمہ داری ہے۔

چیئرمین نیشنل یوتھ آرگنائزیشن آف پاکستان، شاہد خان نے کہا:

“ہم بچوں کے محفوظ اور صحت مند مستقبل کے لیے ہر اس اقدام کی حمایت کرتے ہیں جو انہیں ڈیجیٹل خطرات سے محفوظ بنائے۔ حکومتِ پاکستان کو چاہیے کہ بچوں کے تحفظ کے لیے مؤثر قانون سازی کے ساتھ ساتھ والدین، اساتذہ اور نوجوانوں میں ڈیجیٹل آگاہی کو بھی فروغ دے تاکہ ٹیکنالوجی کا استعمال ذمہ داری اور مثبت انداز میں کیا جا سکے۔”

نیشنل یوتھ آرگنائزیشن آف پاکستان حکومتِ پاکستان، پارلیمنٹ، متعلقہ اداروں اور سول سوسائٹی سے اپیل کرتی ہے کہ بچوں کے بہترین مفاد کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے مؤثر قوانین، ڈیجیٹل سیفٹی پالیسیوں اور آگاہی پروگراموں کو ترجیح دی جائے تاکہ آنے والی نسلوں کو ایک محفوظ، بااخلاق اور مثبت آن لائن ماحول فراہم کیا جا سکے۔
