It is with great sadness, but hope in the resurrection of the Lord that the Pan Megarian Society "Byzas" announces the passing of George Panagos.

George was a devoted husband to Elli and father to Alexandra and Eleni. He also cherished his five grandchilder and nine great-grandchildren

We ask for the entire society to pray for his soul, and for the respite of family and friends.
May his memory be eternal.

Με μεγάλη χαρά υποδεχτήκαμε στο Μεγαριτικο Σπίτι τον Υφυπουργό Εξωτερικών της Ελλαδας αρμόδιο για θέματα της ομογένειας κ. Γεώργιο Κώτσηρα. Τον Υφυπουργό συνόδευαν η νέα Γενική Πρόξενος της Ελλάδας στη Νέα Υόρκη κα Καναρα Ιφιγενεια, ο διευθυντής του Διπλωματικού Γραφείου του Υπουργείο κ. Στρατος Ευθυμιου και ο διευθυντής του πολιτικού γραφείου του Υφυπουργού κ. Θάνος Παναγιωτου.

It is with great pleasure that we welcomed the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, responsible for issues related to the Greek diaspora, Mr. Georgios Kotsiras, to the Megaritiko House. Accompanying the Deputy Minister were the new Consul General of Greece in New York, Ms. Ifigenia Kanara, the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the Ministry, Mr. Stratos Efthymiou, and the Director of the Political Office of the Deputy Minister, Mr. Thanos Panagiotou.

Panagiotis was the beloved husband of Zaharoula Economou and father to Christos Economou, Pia Economou-Tsouknidas and Helen Economou-Chimos. He leaves behind his wife, children and grandchildren.
