Yaa Asantewaa “I am Woman”
Messiah International is delving into the realm of African Mas with our portrayal of “YAA ASANTEWAA: I AM WOMAN.” Yaa Asantewaa was appointed que

With our presentation we honor the strong and powerful black women. We hope that all women embrace and showcase their own natural beauty, acknowledge their own powers of seduction and strike out to blaze their own trail. Cleopatra
Cleopatra was the last pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. Cleopatra was not only a woman of great natural beauty but a string fearless leader. In addition to her outward beauty, Cleopatra bewitched men with her wit, charm and sweetness in the tones of her voice. Well-educated and clever, Cleopatra could speak various languages. She was a lover and a seductress and is most famous for her romantic liaisons and military alliances with the Roman leaders Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. Nzinga

She was well respected for a leadership by the European countries. Most notably, Nzinga was a woman who "immolated her lovers." After becoming queen, she obtained a large, all male harem at her disposal. Her men fought to the death in order to spend the night with her and, after a single night of lo******ng, were put to death. Nanny Maroon
