The specific and primary focus of Strokes of Genius is to educate and empower individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by promoting the abilities in contrast to the disabilities. Strokes of Genius builds and supports artistic talents through the provision of educational art studio experiences and workshops to “Train the Talent”℠ and further expand opportunities toward inclusion and independence as a vehicle for the individual’s livelihood.

We attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center! Strokes of Genius, Inc Brooklyn, East Flatbush artists and My Time, Inc families collaborated with renowned artist Vanessa German to create an amazing, jeweled tapestry for the Shirley Chisholm East Flatbush "People's Museum of Love and Wonder". See Vanessa German's amazing art installation, along with the tapestry created by Amaoko Buachie, Alextine Martin, McKenzie Jarvis, Christopher and Carissa Nankoo, and Noa and Emma Davis! The centerpiece canvas art was created by Amoako Buachie. The Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center is approximately 74,000 square feet, honoring her legacy. It features an indoor swimming pool, a gym and walking track, fitness rooms, a public plaza, a teaching kitchen, and more!
