25 years ago, ๐…๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐Ÿ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ was born out of the heartbreak and unimaginable loss of September 11th. In the immediate aftermath, our organization was built so firefighters could walk through the doors on their own terms - finding free, confidential, and independent care without stigma or red tape.

What started around the firehouse kitchen table remains our sacred promise today: ensuring no firefighter or family member has to carry the weight of the job on their own.

Today, we honor the #343 FDNY members lost on 9/11 and 600 members who have lost their lives in the years since to 9/11-related illnesses. We honor their sacrifice, their brave families, and the generational legacy of service across New York City.

To our active members, retirees, spouses, and children: our doors are always open and our commitment to you is unwavering.

The final rest stop for the day was City of Norwalk Fire Department at Station 3 - the oldest continuously operating fire house in the country. The mister fans were a hit on a humid day! Thank you to mayor of City of Norwalk, CT mayorbarbarasmyth for stopping by for cheering on our riders and her support for first responder mental health resources.

And the Firefighters of Ireland presented Norwalk Station 3 with a beautiful plaque of brotherhood and solidarity ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

When riders returned to the hotel, they were greeted by StandFast Equine Rising Starr for some equine therapy to calm the nervous system and ground them for the final day ride. ๐Ÿด
