We are honored to announce Lucinda Cross as the new Board Chair of Seeds to Flowers Inc.

Lucinda Cross is a nationally respected leadership strategist, women’s empowerment advocate, and transformational force whose work has impacted women, youth, and communities across the country. Her appointment marks a powerful new chapter for Seeds to Flowers as we continue to expand our mission and deepen our impact.

A 2025 Nasdaq Milestone Maker Alumni, Forbes Next 1000 honoree, Verizon Small Business Comeback Coach, and recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama, Lucinda brings decades of visionary leadership and systems-level impact to our organization.

As Founder & CEO of Activate Worldwide and Executive Director of Activate Your Life, she has led groundbreaking work in women’s leadership, youth advocacy, women’s reentry, and community transformation. Her leadership has influenced national conversations and initiatives across media, justice, and corporate sectors.

Lucinda has been featured on CNN, The Today Show, BET, ABC, NBC, and Essence, and has trained leaders within Fortune 500 organizations including Nike, Prudential Financial, Delta Air Lines, and Essence. She has also partnered with the Department of Justice to convene women’s initiatives and advocate for empowerment, leadership, and reentry support.

Lucinda’s leadership, voice, and strategic vision will help guide Seeds to Flowers into its next season of growth, innovation, and transformational impact for the girls and families we serve.

Seeds to Flowers Inc., a nonprofit serving at-risk girls and young women ages 5–17 with complex trauma, is searching for a visionary Board Chair to help take our mission to the next level.

We are looking for a leader who:

✨ Has connections across multiple states and can elevate our national footprint

✨ Is a strategic thinker who can support organizational growth and sustainability

✨ Has strong experience in nonprofit leadership, governance, or fundraising

✨ Is passionate about trauma-informed care, youth empowerment, and breaking the school-to-prison pipeline

🌸 Why Seeds to Flowers Started 🌸

Seeds to Flowers was born from a deep desire to break generational cycles and help girls heal, grow, and lead. 💪🏽✨

We saw too many young girls—especially those impacted by trauma and systemic barriers—being overlooked. So we built a space where they could be seen, supported, and given tools to bloom 🌱 through mentorship, therapy, college readiness, and leadership programs.

Every seed planted represents hope, healing, and a future full of possibility. 💖
