Muslim Free Burial Association The MFBA ensures that poor Muslims are provided a free funeral and burial, according to Islamic Tradition.

The Muslim Free Burial Association is a non-profit organization created to assist poor and marginalized Muslims after their death. No Muslim will go without a dignified Islamic burial due to a lack of funds or family ties. We will leave no one behind to be buried in Hart Island.

New Jersey Gov. Murphy signed into law a bill allowing students to pursue a career as a "Practitioner of Mortuary Science". Simply put, you can pursue a degree in Mortuary Science without the embalming portion of the curriculum.

Governor Phil Murphy has signed a bill into law that would modernize the practitioner of mortuary science licensing structure in New Jersey to better align with changing consumer preferences and the needs of the industry.
