Hi Folks EVERYONE has been SO GENEROUS and supportive of this project and it is greatly appreciated. In just two weeks we are hoping to finish up the transformation of the Scoutcraft area at Camp Aquehonga. We are SOO CLOSE yet we still need to get more building and program materials. If you were thinking of donating or upping your donation to GOLD status, NOW is the time to do this. PLEASE help us bring this project over the finish line. This is going to make a HUGE difference in so many lives for generations to come. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

Hello all. I mentioned earlier that we had some unexpected costs from vehicle and hotel rental from out recent trip to Colonial Williamsburg. Mr Maher is covering the huge cost of the transmission for his van but the troop took a several thousand dollar hit to our funds. If you ever felt like donating to the troop, now would be a great time to get us back on our feet in time for summer camp.
Checks can be made payable to

Folks I KNOW I am a pain in the ass but this project is SOOO close yet we are almost out of funds. I know many of you have been generous but we are $2000 shy of our Go fund me goal and another few thousand shy of our individual funder goal. There is a work weekend tomorrow but there are so many program supplies and some more material we need to finish this project before camp starts this summer. PLEASE consider either upping your donation to GOLD STATUS to passing this along to people who may want to help. This is really going to make a huge difference for so many years to come for THOUASNDS of boys and girls who come to camp for the adventure we are providing. So many of you have helped with donations and time and YOU have made a huge difference. Let's see if we can get this over the goal. MANY MANY THANKS https://www.gofundme.com/f/camp-aquehonga-scoutcraft-program-area?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=p_cp%20share-sheet&fbclid=IwAR3084wOcrQ-QnLd-7v6pUY8DPMv1gQpUzfZL0bH5puOgASKs4iTCVTH0Sg

This week the troop went on our specialty trip. We went to the Yorktown battle fields and Museum, Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, Jamestown Settlement, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Historic Colonial Williamsburg and finished off with a colonial dinner at the Kings Arms. Many thanks to Connie Rannochia and the American Legion for helping to sponsor the trip to make it affordable for our scouts to attend.

On the down side, the van we traveled down in has to get its transmission replaced ( at great cost) but that gave the troop the unexpected great cost of 2 vehicle rentals to get back safely. If anyone wanted to help out the troop with a donation, now is a good time. Checks can be mailed to Boy Scout Troop 237, 323 Caton Ave. Brooklyn NY 11218. Many thanks for your help.

Regardless, it was a great trip with lots of fund and learning.
