Due to the inclement weather and the park’s wet conditions following last night’s rain, today’s It’s My Park event has been postponed to ensure a safe and successful day of service.

We look forward to coming together to clean, plant, mulch, and create a greener community! 💚🌱 A new date will be announced as soon as conditions allow.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to Ethel Jones Mowbray, one of the founding visionaries of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Ethel grew up in Baltimore before enrolling at Howard University. She became president of Alpha Chapter in her senior year and later helped with the sorority’s incorporation. We honor this extraordinary legacy on her special day!

1 in 5 New Yorkers do not always know where their next meal will come from, and over 1 million average monthly visits to food pantries and soup kitchens are made by NYC families with children. According to City Harvest, in 2025, there was a 97% increase in visits to food pantries by children and their families, compared to 2019.

Please join Delta Rho Omega and Alpha Mu in partnership with the Brooklyn Chapter of the United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA) to discuss food scarcity.
