Today we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. The National Association of Black Military Women remembers and salutes the legacy, courage and dedication of those who gave their lives so we could live in freedom. May we never forget their service, their sacrifice and the families who carry their memory forward. 🇺🇸🖤

Saturday-May 23, 2026 was a powerful reminder of what Memorial Day truly means.

NABMW Brooklyn members were part of the 100+ volunteers, veterans organizations,
motorcycle groups, families, friends, and community members who came together to
help place over 27,000 American flags in honor of our fallen heroes at Cypress Hills National Cemetery.

What many people see as “placing flags” is really an act of remembrance, respect, and gratitude.

Every flag represents a life, a family, a sacrifice, and a story that must never be forgotten.

Saturday-May 23, 2026 was a powerful reminder of what Memorial Day truly means.

NABMW Brooklyn members were part of the 100+ volunteers, veterans organizations,

🇺🇸🇧🇪 Honoring the Legacy of the Wereth 11 🇧🇪🇺🇸

President A.Tucker Osborne and Brooklyn chaper member T. Rembert proudly represented the National Association of Black Military Women (NABMW) in Belgium as they laid a commemorative wreath at the sacred memorial site of the Wereth 11.

We pause to remember the eleven African American soldiers of the 333rd Field Artillery Battalion who made the ultimate sacrifice during World War II. Their courage, resilience, and service will never be forgotten.

NABMW remains committed to preserving the stories of our heroes and ensuring their legacy continues to inspire future generations.
