Our Story
Our vision is to structurally transform the relationship between the Black LGBT community and government by moving from a disease prevention model to a more holistic approach to community development focused on eliminating social, health, and economic inequities in New York State.
The programs of the Alliance are organized as follows:
POLICY ACTIVISM: Designed to develop solutions and policies to educate and advocate for economic, health and community safety issues that improve the lives and well-being of the Black LGBT community.
COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION: Designed to identify, strengthen and create new Black LGBT organizations and groups that will create awareness and visibility of the issues, the challenges, and resources that impact or are critical to our community's growth.
