~ INSIDE THE CREATIVE PROCESS AT NEW YORK DEAF THEATRE ~

We’re currently in a "Meat Expectations" workshop, developing new material for an ASL musical created entirely by deaf creators for New York Deaf Theatre.

This work is led by MoMo Holt, Seth Gore, and JW Guido, artists with a longstanding history of collaboration and a deep, trusted development team behind them. Their shared language, artistic shorthand, and years of working together are shaping a process that is bold, joyful, and deeply intentional.

The room is full of positive energy — laughter, experimentation, and care — as new ideas take form and the piece continues to grow. We’re incredibly excited about where this work is heading and can’t wait to share more when "Meat Expectations" comes out.

Special thanks to IRT Theater for generously sharing their space and supporting the development of new deaf-led work.

Stay tuned — this is powerful deaf-led storytelling in motion.❤️🤍

WHAT A NIGHT.

"One Script, Three Visions" was everything we hoped for — joyful, hilarious, bold, and deeply communal. The house was full of laughter, connection, and love for deaf-led theatre.

Our company members were energized by the turnout and incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up to support their work. Nights like this remind us why deaf stories, deaf leadership, and deaf joy onstage matter.

If you believe in spaces where deaf artists can experiment, take risks, and be celebrated — we invite you to invest in New York Deaf Theatre.

Your support helps us create more opportunities like this for emerging and established deaf artists alike.
