Yesterday, St. Francis College celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a bilingual Mass and cultural luncheon.

The immigrant story is our story. Founded in 1859 by the Franciscan Brothers to educate the children of immigrants in Brooklyn, SFC has spent 167+ years opening doors through education, guided by our values of love, compassion, humility, and service.

It’s who we are. It’s who we’ve always been. And it’s who we will continue to be.

Officially a Sri Chinmoy Peace-Blossom College!!

Yesterday we joined a global family of peace-dedicated places, from Niagara Falls to the Taj Mahal to our own Brooklyn. We were also honored to receive a proclamation from Borough President Antonio Reynoso declaring Franciscan Month in Brooklyn.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in prayer, song, flags, and a Peace Torch walk around the block.

Lord, make us instruments of Your peace.

From Brooklyn to Lima, SFC students put service into action in 1963.

Eight St. Francis College students spent their summer helping build dormitories at a home for 250 boys in Peru. Through Project Peru, students also sent 300 pairs of shoes and ten large cartons of clothing and raised funds for another group to return the following summer.

A look back at our Franciscan tradition of showing up for others.

“Did You Know?” explores the stories, traditions, and people that have shaped St. Francis College through the years.

A little dancing, lots of love, and ALL the Terrier spirit!

Yesterday’s Club Fair was all about coming together, making friends, and finding your community at SFC!

The African Students Association, Nursing Club, Christian Orthodox Society, MUN, NABA, Muslim Student Association, Student Government Association, and so many more brought the energy!

All SFC clubs, say hi in the comments so the SFC family knows where to find you!

Preparing students for the future means being part of the conversations shaping it.

St. Francis College President Tim Cecere joined fellow leaders at City & State New York’s 2026 Economic & Workforce Development Summit for the panel “Driving Innovation, and Economic Competitiveness,” exploring how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are transforming New York’s economy and what those changes mean for education, innovation, and the future of work.

Joined at the summit by members of the SFC cabinet, President Tim represented the College’s commitment to preparing students for an evolving workforce.

Thank you to our partners at DHC for their continued support and collaboration.

Still recovering from Terrier Tuesday!!!

Yesterday’s campus was pure chaos in the best way: esports battles, giant Jenga showdowns, a DJ-powered dance floor, and a packed Club Fair.
If you missed it, just know the energy was unmatched.

Now back to class we go. Let’s keep that same energy all semester long.
