Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy Championing the advancement of ALL women across renewable & sustainable energy to build a more equitable energy future together.

Women of Renewable Industry and Sustainable Energy is building on 10 years of successfully implementing Women of Wind Energy’s (WoWE) mission through proven infrastructure and progressive programming, WRISE is excited to take this next step in advancing women across the renewable energy spectrum. In order to fully live the WRISE mission to support a robust renewable energy economy, the group is opening its programs and services to go beyond its wind energy legacy. Past successes include:

In response to ongoing conversations with our stakeholders and recent industry trends, WRISE will continue to work with the wind industry, but will broaden our scope to include solar, energy storage, energy efficiency, energy management, and power marketers focused on renewables, transmission, distributed generation, and smart grid technologies.

On this Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we’re reflecting on the wisdom shared by Wahleah Johns, Founder of Four Directions Fund, during her keynote at the 2026 WRISE Leadership Forum.

🌿 “Nature takes breaks. And for some reason, we don’t as humans. My learning in the last year is just to take a pause. Reflect on your work.”

Wahleah’s words are a powerful reminder to pause and reflect on how we care for ourselves, one another, and the world around us.
