The Come Up Project is a nonprofit organization that fosters community-focused entrepreneurship through education, research, and public awareness. The Come Up Project was founded by an experienced team of entrepreneurs, policy advisors, business consultants, inventors, scientists, academics, and activists who collectively support entrepreneurship as an instrument towards achieving social justice.
Entrepreneurship is key to economic and cultural influence. The apps we use, the brands we wear, and the businesses who serve us affect our behaviors more rapidly and profoundly than virtually anyone else. And while businesses are responsible to thus positively influence society, it also rests upon diverse communities to represent their interests by creating businesses designed for them from the start. Our diversity is underrepresented among the business leaders who influence our thinking and behavior. Despite the need for greater business leadership, the path of entrepreneurship has long presented unique challenges to minorities due to their race, sexual orientation, gender, or religion. However, entrepreneurs who leverage the strengths of their diversity and who draw from the solidarity of their community are more likely to succeed. We are the community that drives this success.
