Today, we focus on Black History Month by highlighting Past International President Douglas X. Alexander and his journey of service and influence on our organization.

A Lion for 42 years and a member of the Bklyn Bedford Stuyvesant Lions Club since 1984, Past International President Alexander has devoted decades to advancing the mission of Lions Clubs International. His leadership at every level of the association culminated in his service as International President in 2021 to 2022, where he emphasized Service from the Heart and worked to strengthen global membership and support for LCIF.

From his professional career as a retired vice president of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank to his longstanding commitment to community service, his path reflects discipline, consistency, and a deep belief in serving others.

Black History Month provides an opportunity to acknowledge individuals whose leadership and steady dedication have made a lasting impact. Past International President Alexander’s 42 years of service stand as a testament to the difference one committed leader can make over time.
