Giving Tuesday is on December 1, and it is not too soon to sign up. We’re looking for peer-to-peer fundraisers to help support our cause!

As a peer-to-peer fundraiser for Brooklyn Book Bodega, all you have to do is reach out to your networks and communities. You will share why you love our work and ask for support for our mission.

Plus, the fundraisers with the highest dollar amount raised and the highest number of donors will each get a Brooklyn Book Bodega sweatshirt!

It’s easy to sign up—just click “fundraise” and create your account! You’ll receive a personal donation link to share with your network, and once you sign up we’ll be in touch with a toolkit that has outreach messages you can easily paste and customize.

Thank you for being a part of our community. We couldn’t do this work without you!

We're thrilled to share that we've helped install another Little Free Library in Brooklyn!

Like Brooklyn Book Bodega’s programs, this Little Free Library helps put books directly into the hands of readers and gives them the opportunity to find a book of their own.

Located at the Brooklyn Navy Yard's Yard Opportunity Shop, which showcases local businesses and made-in-New-York goods, this Little Free Library also adds another way to connect with and support the local community.

Stop by the Yard Opportunity Shop to discover local makers, take a book, leave a book, and help keep stories circulating through the community!

This library was donated by One World on behalf of Heather McGhee for changing the world with words. Thank you to the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Little Free Library for your collaboration and partnership!

Meet Maddy, one of our 2026 TCS New York City Marathon runners!

Maddy shares, "I grew up in a family of children’s books authors—my childhood is illustrated into the pages of "Double Pink", "The Daddy Mountain", "Bark George”, and of course, “My Mom Is Trying To Ruin My Life.” While she did not manage to ruin my life, my mother did teach me the importance of bedtime stories, picture books for all ages, imaginary worlds, and pages of possibility. I am honored and excited to be running the New York Marathon with Brooklyn Book Bodega because every child deserves their own bookshelf filled with inspiration, giggles, and adventure."
